Job Description

Shift time: M-F; 7:30am-4:00pm & M-F 9:30am-6pm. We have two openings, one on each shift. 

Pay $17/hr

We are seeking reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operators with reach truck experience to support warehouse operations for a nonprofit food bank organization. This position plays an essential role in helping distribute food and resources to families in need. The ideal candidate will be team-oriented, detail-driven, and committed to maintaining accuracy and safety in all warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a reach truck and other warehouse forklifts to move, stack, and organize pallets of food and donated goods.

• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.

• Perform accurate inventory handling, including scanning, staging, and restocking items.

• Assist with receiving donations, verifying quantities, and labeling pallets for storage or distribution.

• Maintain clean and organized warehouse aisles, staging areas, and loading zones.

• Follow safety protocols and conduct routine equipment inspections before each shift.

• Collaborate with warehouse staff and volunteers to support smooth daily operations.

• Ensure all food products are handled according to food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of experience operating a reach truck in a warehouse or distribution setting.

• Valid forklift certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).

• Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying temperature environments.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Dependable and punctual, with a commitment to the organization’s mission and community service.
