Who you are…

You are an experienced strategic professional with an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for achieving sales and marketing objectives and driving success. You understand the varied dynamics and requirements of successfully managing sales and marketing operations and have a proven track record as a collaborative and skilled people manager and leader. 

  • You have a minimum of five years of experience in a sales and marketing leadership or director role, including business development, forecasting, and performance tracking 
  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales, marketing or a related field, or equivalent applicable experience; hospitality experience preferred
  • Proven ability to successfully lead, inspire, develop and motivate a sales and marketing team
  • You have a strategic, analytical and data-driven mindset, a demonstrable track record of exceeding sales targets and driving business growth, and have  been successful and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in sales and marketing analytics tools and CRM software; proficiency in MS Office products, resort systems knowledge preferred
  • Familiarity with budget development and management, pricing models, revenue forecasting, and contract negotiations
  • Unparallel flexibility; stellar organizational skills, creativity, detail orientation and follow-through
  • Exemplary communication and listening skills; excellent interpersonal abilities, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • A demonstrated ability to work well as a leader and a member of a team; ability to communicate effectively with all position levels within an organization
  • The ability to work a varied schedule, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and extended hours as business needs dictate
  • A pleasant demeanor, present a professional appearance; you enjoy going above and beyond for your team and you like to have fun while at work!

What you’ll do…

  • Refine, and/or develop and implement a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy to achieve market penetration, revenue and business growth objectives
  • Oversee sales operations, including budgeting and forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM optimization; set sales quotas, KPIs, and performance metrics to track progress and drive accountability
  • Initiate and implement marketing up-selling techniques to promote resort services and facilities to maximize room occupancy and overall revenue
  • Oversee the development, planning, and execution of creative and impactful marketing campaigns, content deployment and website messaging, ensuring brand consistency and maximizing ROI
  • Make data-informed decisions based on a sound understanding of organizational priorities, customer feedback, analytics, benchmarks, industry reporting and emerging trends
  • Identifies opportunities to increase profits and create value by challenging existing processes, encouraging innovation, and driving necessary change
  • Manage and/or guide the career progression, learning, development and retention of direct report team members 
  • Communicate clearly and develops strong working relationships with all sales and marketing team members, with leadership, and throughout the property, contributing to a positive and cohesive working environment
  • Represent the resort at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to strengthen brand positioning and s eek opportunities to support community involvement efforts
  • Remains abreast of industry trends and changes that may affect or enhance the offerings and/or profitability of the resort
