Job Description

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team in Santa Barbara, California. This is a part-time contract position, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to financial operations in a dynamic environment. The role requires a strong focus on accounts payable, accounts receivable, and vendor communications while working onsite part-time. Responsibilities: - Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently. - Apply payments and ensure proper allocation within the accounting system. - Enter invoices into financial systems, maintaining attention to detail and compliance. - Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate account balances. - Communicate professionally with vendors and customers to address inquiries and resolve issues. - Manage financial records and provide support for audit and reporting processes. - Utilize NetSuite to maintain organized and up-to-date financial data. - Assist with line of credit transactions and documentation as needed. - Work collaboratively with the Controller and other team members to support financial operations. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. - Strong knowledge of accounting software, including QuickBooks and NetSuite. - Ability to perform bank reconciliations with precision. - Proficiency in coding and entering invoices into accounting systems. - Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and customers. - Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. - Part-time availability to work onsite on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. - Familiarity with general accounting practices and financial recordkeeping.
