UX Writer

Job Overview:

We’re looking for a strategic, empathetic, and detail-oriented UX Writer to join our Insurance Experience Design team. In this role, you’ll shape content across digital experiences that support our members in understanding, selecting, and managing their insurance policies. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers to craft clear, consistent, and accessible language that reflects our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write and edit user-focused content for our client’s insurance platforms (web and mobile), including microcopy, UI labels, error messages, help content, and transactional emails.
  • Collaborate with product designers using tools like Figma to ensure content is integrated seamlessly into designs.
  • Use Adobe Creative Suite to support content presentation needs, such as visual storytelling or documentation.
  • Ensure all content meets accessibility standards (WCAG) and contributes to an inclusive digital experience for all users.
  • Participate in usability testing and apply insights to improve clarity and usability of content.
  • Advocate for a consistent voice, tone, and terminology across all insurance-related experiences.
  • Work closely with legal, compliance, and marketing teams to ensure content accuracy and alignment with regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communication, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field (or 4+ years of equivalent work experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in UX writing, content design, or technical writing in a digital product environment.
  • Proficiency with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Illustrator, InDesign, or XD).
  • Strong understanding of accessibility standards and best practices in digital content.
  • Portfolio of UX writing samples showcasing clear, concise, and user-centered content across platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in insurance , finance , or other highly regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with content management systems and design systems.
  • Understanding of agile development and working within cross-functional teams.
