Yoh is seeking an experienced
S oldering Technician with solid industry experience in soldering and a background in mechanical assembly to join our startup medical device client in the East Bay. The ideal candidate will have experience in industries such as aerospace, medical device manufacturing, biotechnology, or mechanical fields. This role requires a high level of precision with medical equipment, adherence to industry standards, and the ability to perform mechanical assembly tasks as part of the soldering process. Knowledge of J-STD 001 and IPC-A-610 standards required. Position Title: Soldering Technician
Location: Pleasanton, CA
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM

Key Responsibilities: - Perform hand soldering of through-hole and surface mount components (SMT) on PCBs.
- Inspect solder joints to ensure compliance with IPC standards.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and assembly drawings.
- Operate soldering equipment, rework stations, and microscopes.
- Perform touch-up, rework, and repair on PCBs as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S practices.
- Document production and quality control data as required.
- Collaborate with quality control and engineering teams to resolve assembly issues.
- Ensure adherence to safety and ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protocols.
- Perform small assembly work.
Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in soldering electronic components.
- Knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards (certification is a plus).
- Knowledge of J-STD 001 standards (certification is a plus).
- Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with SMT and through-hole technology.
- Ability to use basic inspection tools (e.g., magnifiers, microscopes).
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in soldering for the aerospace, medical device, or biotechnology industries.
- Additional certifications in mechanical assembly or other soldering techniques.
- Previous experience working in a regulated environment (e.g., FDA, ISO 9001).
