Job Description

Blue Star Glass is looking for a smart, reliable, and mechanically inclined Shop Utility Tech to support daily operations on the factory floor. This is not just an IT support role — you’ll be our go-to person for everything from running Ethernet cables to organizing parts , assisting with machine work , and making sure the shop runs like a well-oiled machine.

You’ll be a key player in keeping things moving — tools in hand, cables in the ceiling, and parts in their place.

• Run, label, and clean up Ethernet/network cabling (no networking setup needed)
• Assist with machine setups, simple mechanical tasks, and maintenance support
• Use hand and power tools confidently — drilling, mounting, fixing, etc.
• Help maintain and improve the inventory and parts system – think like the guy who knows where everything is before anyone else asks
• Track and organize small parts, tools, cables, and consumables — make sure the shop doesn’t run out or fall apart
• Support facility and floor operations — moving equipment, helping with layouts, mounting whiteboards or safety signage, whatever’s needed
• Be the “point-and-go” guy who can take a task and finish it cleanly and efficiently without needing to be micromanaged

• Mechanically and technically capable — knows how to use tools and understands how things work
• Comfortable using ladders, drills, and lifts
• Organized mindset — you like when tools are where they belong, and parts are easy to find
• Physically able to work on the floor — this is not a desk job
• Trustworthy and independent — you’ll be handed the keys to our tools, inventory room, and small problems that need solving
• No fear of getting dirty — just the pride of getting things done right

Compensation: $17-25 /per hour
