Contract Length: 12 Months with extension possibilities

Contract Type: W2 – Inclusive of employment benefits

Full-time contract 8 Hours per day, 5 days per week

Role Overview:

In this critical role, you will be responsible for leading strategic sourcing initiatives for a variety of commodities, with a strong emphasis on aerospace-related materials and build-to-print components. You will leverage your expertise to develop and execute sourcing strategies that optimize cost, quality, and delivery while building strong supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end sourcing process, including requirements gathering, supplier identification and evaluation, negotiation, and contract management.
• Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies for assigned commodities, aligning with business objectives and ensuring a resilient and efficient supply chain.
• Manage vendor relationships, monitor supplier performance, and proactively address any issues or risks.
• Negotiate favourable terms and conditions with suppliers, ensuring cost competitiveness and securing long-term agreements where appropriate.
• Conduct market analysis and stay abreast of industry trends to identify potential opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, quality, and other cross-functional teams to understand technical requirements and ensure supplier alignment.
• Sourcing materials and parts for the aircraft, including hardware, fasteners, nuts, and bolts, as well as commercial off-the-shelf materials.
• Manage vendor inventory programs and ensure supply continuity.
• Support the development and negotiation of robust terms and conditions, escalating legal matters as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.

Core Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in strategic sourcing and procurement, ideally within a complex manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles and best practices.
• Demonstrated experience in sourcing for "Cots for Build" (Commercial off-the-shelf for build) components.
• Significant experience within the Aerospace industry is a huge plus
• Experience working with Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs, ideally within an aerospace context.
• Proficiency in ERP/Procurement Modules (experience with SAP is highly desirable).
• Solid project management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
