Job Description

As the Senior Designer for Menswear, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire design process, from concept to execution. You will be working closely with a cross-functional team, driving creativity and ensuring that our collections align with brand values and market trends.

Responsibilities

• Develop and articulate the creative vision for menswear collections, setting the design direction that reflects the brand's identity under the guidance of the VP of Design and Creative Director.
• Lead the seasonal design process for Menswear, including research, concept development, and product innovation, based on a comprehensive understanding of merchandising plans.
• Interpret the seasonal direction into innovative and commercial designs.
• Analyze past best and worst sellers for future developments and develop design ideas into cohesive seasonal groups.
• Spearhead material sourcing and selection to align seasonal collection and support the category growth.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, production, and marketing, to ensure alignment on product strategy and go-to-market plans.

Design Process Contribution

• Prototyping & Development: Propose drapes, 3D swatches, fabric manipulations, finishing trials, and thread color trials for product development when sample yardage arrives, and launching denim washes trials.
• Color & Print Design: Create color-ups and print placement layouts on sketches. Design to-scale CAD-focused embroidery trials and layouts for development and SMS.
• Seasonal Boards: Create and maintain seasonal boards and linelist featuring inspirations, print concepts, most updated sketches, and trials. Communicate seasonal update effectively with cross-functional teams.

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with product development, technical design, in house atelier to ensure styles meet design specifications.
• Maintain a seamless communication to sales, marketing and production team to provide product knowledge and design intent.
• Fittings Participation: Attend and participate in prototype and sample fittings. Take notes and follow up as needed to ensure garment proportions, details, and fit are accurate.
• Lookbook & Seasonal Shoots: Manage Lookbook fittings, styling, and all preparation for seasonal shoots for Menswear and Women’s Hard Woven category.

Qualifications

• Must have a BA/BFA in Fashion Design (or equivalent professional experience).
• Must have minimum 6 years experience in menswear design.
• Must have deep materials expertise including fabric & trim sourcing, fabric development, knitwear, and denim wash development.
• Must have advanced sketching skills (Procreate + CAD) with tech-ready flats; precise construction details and proportion.
• Must be fit-process fluent: proto/SMS fittings, and revision tracking to quality standards.
• Must have mastery in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate.
• Must be able to create to-scale embroideries/placement prints, color-ups, and production-ready layout files for dev/SMS.
• Must be able to have strong cross-functional partnership skills to Merch (line planning, A/B testing, margin targets) and PD/Production (calendars, costs, MOQs, handoffs).
• Must be able to provide end-to-end seasonal ownership from concept through market; builds cohesive capsules aligned to brand DNA.
• Must be able to lead the creative direction: seasonal concepts, color stories, print narratives, and group architecture.
• Must be a strong cross-functional partner to Merch (line planning, A/B testing, margin targets) and PD/Production (calendars, costs, MOQs, handoffs).
• Must have rigor in calendar discipline and project management; aligns partners and hits deadlines across multiple capsules.
• Must have demonstrated work in Portfolio of original menswear concepts, technical depth, and delivered, brand-right product.
• CLO 3D (draping, 3D swatches, fabric simulations) for rapid proto visualization is a plus.
• Pattern Making/garment-construction literacy for development problem-solving is a plus.
• Established vendor/mill network; willing to travel for mills, trade shows, and factories is a plus.
