🎓 About the Role:

As Secondary Principal, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for all aspects of the Secondary School (Grades 6–12). You will work closely with the Executive Leadership Team to ensure the highest standards of academic achievement, student well-being, and community engagement.

You will be responsible for cultivating a culture of excellence where teachers are empowered to innovate, students are inspired to achieve, and learning is meaningful, inclusive, and future-focused.

Key Responsibilities:

*Strategic Leadership: Lead the Secondary School with a clear, forward-looking vision aligned with the school’s mission and values.

*Academic Excellence: Ensure the delivery of a rigorous, inquiry-based international curriculum (including MYP and IBDP or equivalent) that promotes deep understanding and critical thinking.

*Pastoral Care: Oversee student welfare, fostering an inclusive, supportive, and values-driven school culture.

*Faculty Development: Recruit, develop, and mentor high-quality teachers, promoting professional collaboration, reflection, and growth.

*Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with students, parents, and the wider community, ensuring open communication and shared commitment to excellence.

*Innovation & Growth: Champion new initiatives in teaching, learning, and technology that prepare students for success in a rapidly changing world.

*School Management: Lead day-to-day operations of the Secondary School, including timetabling, staffing, and policy implementation.

*Collaboration: Work closely with Primary and Whole School leadership to ensure alignment, continuity, and shared purpose across the school.

About You:

You are an inspiring, compassionate, and strategic leader who thrives in an international, collaborative environment. You will bring:

- Proven leadership experience in a secondary or whole-school leadership role (Principal, Deputy Principal, or equivalent).

- A strong background in international education, ideally within the IB framework (MYP and/or DP).

- A deep understanding of 21st-century learning, curriculum design, and assessment for learning.

- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust, motivate others, and lead with empathy.

- A commitment to student-centered education, well-being, and holistic development.

- A Bachelor’s degree and teaching qualification (Master’s degree in Educational Leadership or related field strongly preferred).

Minimum Application Requirements

Qualification:

Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification

Experience:

10 Years

Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa)

Must be a native speaker of English

Prefer candidates with international experience

Teachers with a degree but no teaching qualification are NOT accepted

Experienced teachers with no qualification are NOT accepted

Non-western trained teachers who have worked in an international educational institute before are NOT accepted

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:

A salary   CNY (Chinese Yuan Renminbi) per month based on experience and qualification, 10-25 % Tax is applied

Housing:

Based on application  fully furnished Housing provided
