**School-Based Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)**
_Full-time · Rotating between Phoenix, Buckeye & Tempe campuses_
**About the Role**
I'm partnering with a specialized education and therapy organization offering integrated physical, occupational, and behavioral services across Arizona. This school-based Physical Therapist Assistant role travels weekly between Phoenix (main campus), Buckeye, and Tempe, providing 1:1 sessions focused on mobility, gait training, balance, and range of motion. You'll work with students with physical and developmental challenges, helping them build strength, confidence, and independence across diverse school settings.
**What You'll Do**
+ Provide direct and consultative physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed PT.
+ Support students in developing gross motor and mobility skills across classrooms, playgrounds, and other school settings.
+ Train staff on safe transfers, mobility support, and adaptive equipment use.
+ Document therapy sessions, maintain Medicaid billing, and participate in team meetings.
**Qualifications**
+ Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
+ Active Arizona PTA certificate and eligibility for Medicaid billing (AHCCCS number).
+ Reliable transportation for travel between campuses.
+ Experience with medically fragile or IDD populations preferred.
**Pay Details:** $50,000.00 to $60,000.00 per year
