We’re focused on purpose-driven work, and strongly believe what’s good for pets, people and our planet is good for Petco.Provide a friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable shopping experience for all guests.Responsibilities: Assist customers in selecting appropriate products based on their needs Promote and explain membership benefits, services, and relevant promotions Use suggestive selling techniques to increase individual sales and support store goals Perform cashiering functions including cash, credit, check sales, returns, and exchanges Support Omni-channel services including Instacart, Extended Aisle, and Repeat Delivery Ensure all live animals receive appropriate care in accordance with Petco standards Complete routine health checks and wellness card documentation Maintain clean, safe, and secure animal habitats Stock, face, and price merchandise according to company guidelines Assist in loading, unloading, and organizing product shipments Support inventory accuracy and participate in physical inventory counts Maintain cleanliness of store including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and restroom upkeep Communicate effectively with guests, team members, and leadership Assist with opening and closing procedures as directed by store leadership Complete special projects and other tasks as assigned by store leaders Physical Requirements: Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting of merchandise up to 50 pounds Must be able to pull up to 2,000 pounds using material handling equipment Primarily indoors in a retail environment Fast-paced, customer-focused atmosphere with live animals on site Must follow all safety protocols to ensure the well-being of animals, guests, and team members
