Our client, a leading multimodal transportation planning and engineering consultancy, is looking to invest in a passionate Project Manager to join their growing Fairfax, VA headquarters.

As part of the team, you’ll contribute to innovative private and public developments across DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Working closely with project managers and mission-driven engineers, you’ll help deliver creative solutions for a variety of multimodal transportation projects. You will work closely with public agencies, municipalities, and private clients to develop innovative, safe, and efficient traffic solutions. Essential Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation of Traffic Impact Studies (TIS), Transportation Demand Management (TDM) plans, and parking analyses to support land development projects across Northern Virginia.
  • Represent clients at public hearings and meetings with local jurisdictions and agencies, effectively presenting technical findings and project justifications.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, coordinating with developers, land use attorneys, local staff, and review agencies throughout the entitlement and permitting process.
  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, staffing, and invoicing to ensure timely, profitable delivery of high-quality work.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
  • Stay current on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory updates in traffic engineering and design.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • 4+ years of experience in traffic engineering and transportation planning.
  • Strong fluency in Synchro, SimTraffic, VISSIM, Sidra, Vistro, ArcGIS, and related softwares.
  • Passion for collaboration throughout the development and execution of projects.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
