Job Description

We are currently hiring for a Project Coordinator to join the team at a well-established commercial interiors company based in Houston. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment supporting construction operations.

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for managing internal communication, coordinating material logistics, maintaining accurate documentation, and helping projects stay on track and within budget. This is an in-office position that plays a key role in the success of the project team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle submittals, RFIs, and reselections while maintaining direct communication with clients
  • Track material budgets and assist with pricing negotiations
  • Create and process take-off revisions and RCOs in real time
  • Prepare buyouts, schedule material deliveries, and coordinate delivery logistics by truck
  • Maintain trackers for repairs and change orders
  • Identify and resolve project issues efficiently
  • Support construction timelines and help ensure deadlines are met
  • Deliver high-level customer service to both internal teams and external clients
  • Conduct vendor and supplier negotiations as needed
  • Forecast project needs and assist with planning

Qualifications

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Experience with procurement, material tracking, or financial oversight in construction
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with a strong sense of urgency
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe, and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and capable of working independently and within a team
  • Able to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Supply Chain, or Logistics preferred
  • 10+ years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in pricing, procurement, or project coordination in a construction-related environment

Preferred Skills

  • Experience using Dynamics 365 – Business Central or Great Plains
  • Familiarity with proposal generation and submittal documentation
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent data entry and reporting skills
