Job Description

Supplemental Health Care is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant to join a surgical team under the direction of General Surgeon . The Physician Assistant will play a vital role in supporting patients throughout their surgical journey, including pre- and post-operative care, inpatient and outpatient management, and patient education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive pre- and post-operative assessments, including physical exams and diagnostic testing.
• Manage patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Collaborate closely with the surgeon and healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide patient and family education on procedures, recovery, and ongoing care.
• Demonstrate strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program required.
• Current PA licensure in New York State (or eligibility).
• Recent clinical experience in ambulatory care, emergency medicine, or wound care preferred; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
• Strong commitment to teamwork, patient-centered care, and professional excellence.
