Job Description

We are seeking a Staff Pharmacist to join the compounding department at a pharmaceutical manufacturing site. This role will oversee non-sterile and sterile compounding operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage pharmacy staff in a production environment.

Job Title: Staff Pharmacist – Compounding Department

Location: Pompano Beach, FL

Salary: $110,000 – $130,000 per year

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily non-sterile and sterile compounding operations
• Ensure compliance with USP, FDA, DEA, and cGMP regulations
• Train and manage compounding pharmacy technicians and support staff
• Review and approve compounded product formulations and labeling
• Maintain compounding schedules and perform quality control assessments
• Oversee inventory management, including controlled substances
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in compounding environments
• Participate in audits, recalls, and documentation as required

Supervisory Duties

• Lead, coach, and evaluate compounding staff
• Ensure adherence to company procedures and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree
• Active Florida Pharmacist License in good standing
• 1–2 years of experience in sterile and non-sterile compounding (preferred)
• Knowledge of USP 795, 797, 800 and applicable FDA/state regulations
