Compliance Manager – Digital Banking & Payments

Location: Hybrid

Industry: Financial Services Banking/Fintech Enablement

A regulated financial institution is hiring a Compliance Manager to help lead oversight of its growing digital banking and payments operations, particularly in support of embedded finance and card-based consumer programs. The role focuses on policy development, partner oversight, regulatory change management, and proactive risk mitigation across internal teams and third-party platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement compliance policies related to consumer payments, privacy, marketing, and anti-financial crime regulations.
  • Review promotional and customer-facing materials to ensure alignment with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Lead or contribute to risk assessments, testing, and monitoring efforts across product and partner activities.
  • Collaborate with legal, operations, and third-party vendors to address compliance concerns and resolve findings.
  • Support training, reporting, and issue tracking related to compliance programs.
  • Stay informed on applicable laws and emerging regulatory expectations in the banking and fintech space.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of compliance experience within a regulated financial institution, fintech, or payments firm.
  • Strong understanding of consumer protection regulations (e.g., Reg E, UDAAP), privacy frameworks, and BSA/AML standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex requirements into actionable guidance.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or compliance certification (e.g., CRCM) is a plus.
  • Experience supporting third-party fintech partnerships or product launches is highly desirable
