What You’ll Do

As an Outside Sales Representative at our location in Houston, TX , you will play a crucial role in expanding our customer base, driving revenue, and strengthening relationships with contractors, municipalities, and engineers. You’ll be the face of Winston-Cox Waterworx in the field , identifying opportunities, solving customer challenges, and ensuring they have the right waterworks and utility products when and where they need them.

  • Develop and manage relationships with contractors, municipalities, engineers, and other key industry players.
  • Identify new business opportunities and create strategies to drive growth.
  • Provide consultative sales solutions , helping customers select the right products for their projects.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor , educating customers on industry trends, product innovations, and supply chain solutions.
  • Collaborate with the inside sales and operations teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
  • Regularly visit job sites and customer offices to build rapport and assess project needs.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of inventory, pricing, and availability to provide real-time solutions.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets through strategic prospecting and relationship-building.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Experience in outside sales, account management, or business development in an industrial, construction, or distribution setting.
  • Proven ability to drive sales, build relationships, and close deals.
  • Strong knowledge of waterworks, site utilities, or construction supply (preferred but not required).
  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory to meet with customers.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience using CRM tools to manage customer relationships and sales pipeline.
  • A strong existing network in the waterworks or infrastructure space.
