JOIN OUR TEAM!

Vera French is looking for a Therapist to join our Outpatient Therapy Team with a Monday - Friday schedule specifically with the interesting in seeing children. Vera French has two full service clinics with one in Davenport & one in Bettendorf. The Staff Therapist carries clinical responsibility for patients assigned for intake, evaluation and treatment . The therapist collaborates clinically with other staff and participates with them in evaluating the services and planning future goals and objectives. The Therapist supports and facilitates an environment that is both safe and promotes optimal trauma informed care. Vera French also offers supervision towards licensure.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Provide intake/evaluation services as member of multi-disciplinary team
  • Complete intake paperwork
  • Assessments
  • Case presentation and assignment
• Provide ongoing therapy to assigned clients (and their families when appropriate):
  • Individual
  • Groups
  • Family
• Serve as a member of multi-disciplinary team:
  • Attend staffing and discipline meetings
  • Responsible for assessment of own case load, work load, and working with team. supervisor/coordinator
• May participate in special areas of interest:
  • Consultation and education
  • Special interest groups including assertive training, family therapy, play therapy, individual services, summer camps, etc.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• Master's degree in related field required.
• LMHC or LISW licensure in State of Iowa is required.
• Prefer previous experience in the field of mental health, including individual and group therapy.
• Excellent public relations skills required
• Excellent written & verbal communications skills required

I understand that I may be subject to a background check, and hereby authorize Vera French Community Mental Health Center, or any of its affiliates, to investigate my background to determine any and all information of concern as to my record, whether the same is of record or not, and I release employers and persons named in my application from all liability for any damages on account of his/her furnishing said information.

Additionally, you are hereby authorized to make any investigation of my personal history, educational background, military record,
motor vehicle records, criminal records, and credit history through an investigative or credit agency or bureau of your choice. I
authorize the release of this information by the appropriate agencies to the investigating service. I authorize and give permission for
the individuals listed as references to provide written information and/or verbally discuss my background with Vera French
Community Mental Health Center, or any of its affiliates.

This authorization, in original or copy form, shall be valid for this and any future reports and updates that may be required.
I understand that passing the background check is a condition of employment. A negative background check can be grounds for
dismissal, even if an offer has been made to me and I have been hired.
