Job Description

Position Description: The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for determining methodology and designs behind producing aerospace components, as well as creating manufacturing routing methods and operation sheets for shop use.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Determines methodology in which the part will be produced
  • Designs fixturing, including modeling and making drawings of necessary components
  • Applies knowledge of specialized manufacturing processes such as welding, laser cutting, and sheet metal forming.
  • Verifies process validity to meet stringent aerospace quality requirements and efficiency standards.
  • Creates blueprints for shop use with precise dimensioning and tolerancing.

Salary range for this position is $80,000-$100,000.

Skills And Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelors or Associates Degree Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Engineering Technology, or Drafting and Design.
  • Knowledge of CNC milling and turning.
  • Knowledge of specialized processes like welding, laser cutting, and sheet metal forming.
  • Knowledge of different material types – Aluminum, Stainless, Titanium, High Nickel Alloys, etc.
  • Knowledge of current material removal and forming techniques.
  • Experience with Solidworks and NX – drafting, modeling, assemblies, Sheetmetal.
  • Possible travel as required for training and multi-site support
  • Background in Aerospace Industry
