This role is not a remote opportunity, it is on-site at our Manufacturing Plant in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Scope:

Multi-skilled individual with primary responsibility to maintain equipment in a proactive manner. Perform all preventative maintenance as scheduled and continuously review and improve PM systems to drive down performance losses and increase equipment reliability.

Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities :

  • Proactively perform all condition based and preventive maintenance work to OEM standards.
  • Analyze line performance data and provide line improvement support based on findings and analysis.
  • Understand the Theory of Operation for all pieces of equipment in area of responsibility.
  • Provide input to the Centerline standard based on expertise and observations.
  • Document all work order information within Computer Maintenance Management System per best practices.
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Actively participate in Plant Initiatives and Improvement teams
  • Support technical training to Operators and specific training to allow them to perform basic maintenance tasks.
  • Provide recommendations to spare part stocking levels.
  • Serve as a role model to drive a positive culture and exemplify established values.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must have two-year technical degree in an Industrial Maintenance field with 2-3 years of mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong focus on preventive maintenance, continuous improvement, and troubleshooting
  • Strong Mechanical skills and basic Electrical skills
  • Basic PLC (Allen Bradley). (preferred)
  • Familiarity with CMMS and Production workflow/controls systems.
  • Experienced with packaging, conveyance, liquid and powder manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Ability to be self-managed, scheduling and performing work unsupervised, reliable, motivated, dedicated, and committed.
  • Good communication skills with operators, other mechanics and resources.
  • Proactive individual that takes responsibility for their equipment, line, coworkers and the continuous improvement of the operation.
  • Able to work in a team environment where honest communication, a positive attitude, engagement, and personal accountability is expected.
  • Detail oriented individual who accurately records information.
  • Able to work off-shifts, weekends & extended shifts.
  • Able to work with computers (navigating systems, recording information, using to find information to perform the job)
  • Must have ability to understand oral and written instructions in English
  • Must have good job performance and attendance records
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Food or pharmaceutical manufacturing experience preferred.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to physically perform the functions of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
  • Must be able to work seated using a computer and phone for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to work extended hours, such as daily overtime and an occasional weekend
  • Must possess visual acuity to document company records
  • Continuous walking throughout plant and distribution center.
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds
