Job Title: Maintenance & Build Technician (I)

Location: Irvine, CA

Shift: Must be available to work any shift

Job Summary:

We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance & Build Technician to support the construction, maintenance, and troubleshooting of highly automated manufacturing equipment. This role plays a key part in building and repairing electromechanical systems and ensuring equipment operates at peak performance. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, experienced with power tools, and capable of performing under minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and troubleshoot electromechanical systems and assemblies per technical drawings
  • Perform equipment setup, testing, repairs, and preventive maintenance
  • Safely operate power tools (saws, drills, grinders, etc.) and inspection equipment
  • Conduct safety and equipment inspections and generate appropriate work orders
  • Document maintenance activities and communicate issues clearly with team members
  • Support installation and startup of new automated equipment
  • Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience with tools in manufacturing, construction, HVAC, or automotive maintenance
  • Basic computer and MS Office skills
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience debugging automated equipment and working with HMIs
  • Familiarity with machine sensors (photoelectric, pressure, inductive, etc.)
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems including cam linkages and discrete component assembly
  • Precision in component assembly and troubleshooting

Physical Requirements:

  • Stand/walk for majority of shift
  • Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, 5–30 lbs frequently
  • Reach above shoulder and work in tight spaces
  • Push, pull, and perform physical tasks related to maintenance duties
