Role & Responsibility
- Organize and maintain case files, legal documents, and contract databases
- Monitor and follow up on the progress of legal proceedings & dispute related matter
- Draft concise internal reports and summaries of ongoing cases
- Draft or assist with drafting internal reports and case summaries
- Coordinate communication between internal teams and external law firms
- Identify and summarize key risks and deadlines with clarity and precision
- Analyze terms and conditions in various contracts in relation to construction
- Review bidding documents in the procurement process
- Support the legal team in process improvement and strategic planning related to construction law and contract
Qualification
- A proactive mindset with a desire for career growth in contract management and construction business sector
- The ability to quickly understand and adapt to unfamiliar fields and cultures
- Very strong verbal & written communication skills
- Ability to manage many competing tasks and to quickly triage by priority with minimal external input
- Minimum 2 years of experience in legal support, particularly within the construction or infrastructure sectors
- Familiarity with Texas construction laws and dispute resolution processes is highly preferred
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Preferred Qualification :
- Paralegal Certification or Certified Litigation Support Professional (CLSP)
- 5 years of experience in Construction, Civil litigation or Insurance Claims
- AAA (American Arbitration Association) arbitration experience
- Prior experience working within a large organization and project size
- Familiar with contracts issued by the American Institute of Architects (AIA)
