IT Help Desk Specialist with a strong background in
aerospace manufacturing IT environments and proven knowledge of
CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) and
NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) frameworks . The ideal candidate will have at least
5 years of professional experience providing technical support, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards, and supporting mission-critical systems in a regulated industry.
Job Responsibilities: - Provide first- and second-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues across the organization
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT incidents in a timely manner, escalating complex issues when necessary
- Maintain compliance with CMMC and NIST 800-171 requirements in daily IT operations
- Support systems used in aerospace manufacturing, including ERP, MES, and CAD/CAM applications
- Assist with audits, documentation, and reporting related to cybersecurity and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with IT security teams to enforce security policies and procedures
- Train and support end-users on secure IT practices and compliance requirements
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets, tickets, and resolutions in help desk systems
- Able to support on-site full-time in Ontario, CA
- Occasional travel to alternate site in Riverside, CA
Required Qualifications: - Minimum 5 years of IT help desk or technical support experience in a regulated industry (aerospace preferred)
- Strong knowledge of CMMC compliance levels and NIST cybersecurity standards
- Experience supporting IT systems in manufacturing environments
- Proficiency with Windows, Linux, and network troubleshooting
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365, Cloud-based, and endpoint security tools
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications: - Prior experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing IT support
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, CISSP, or CMMC Assessor
- Experience with ERP/MES systems and CAD/CAM software support
- Knowledge of ITIL practices and help desk ticketing systems
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience. Physical Requirements / Work Environments
- Ability to work in office, lab, and manufacturing environments with occasional exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs and perform tasks involving standing, walking, bending, and manual assembly
- Visual acuity required for reading technical drawings and digital media
- Valid US driver’s license and ability to operate motor vehicles
