I have an exciting opportunity with our Fayetteville based logistics client! They are looking to add a General Ledger Accountant to their team. This role is a contract with the potential to hire and fully remote! The ideal candidate will have logistics / transportation industry experience, at least 3 years of accounting experience, including reconciling the general ledger, resolving any discrepancies, excellent communication and good Excel.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries accurately and on time.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements, prepaid expenses, accruals, and fixed assets.
• Assist in month-end and year-end close processes.
• Maintain and analyze the general ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Coordinate with other departments to obtain necessary documentation and resolve discrepancies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Logistics, Transportation industry experience
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a general ledger or corporate accounting role.
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks).
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
