Summary: Starting Rate : $45,000.00-up based on experience (salary) Full Time : 7:30am - 4:00pm Address : 322W 32nd St. Charlotte, NC 28206 Will be relocating to York, SC this summer 2025 The Freight Coordinator’s primary role is to manage the logistical processing of outbound shipments of customers’ new equipment in a timely manner. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Key Responsibilities: ~ Coordinate transportation of balers and compactors for shipping using Komar Industries’ preferred carriers and utilize process for freight load organization. ~Prepare shipping documentation, such as bills of lading and packing lists.  ~ Create spreadsheets and update proprietary software with notes, ETA, and memos. ~ Determine efficient and effective ways of moving goods from one location to another, including shipping methods, routes, possible consolidation, and rates for goods to be shipped. ~ Work with the production/operations department on setting up shipments.  ~ Daily shipping totals. ~ Weekly inventory report. ~ Work with internal and external customers providing shipping updates. ~ Work within the Sales Department, 3rd party installers & freight logistics companies to provide world class on time delivery and provide outstanding customer service support. Requirements: ~ Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. ~2 years of shipping or logistics experience. ~ Advanced customer service skills. ~ Previous manufacturing/shipping experience with large commercial equipment utilizing flatbeds. ~ Detail-oriented and ability to prioritize work. ~ Advanced time management and multi-tasking skills. ~ Ability to work independently with little supervision. ~ Ability to understand the manufacturing life cycle such as production timelines. ~ Experience with NetSuite or related ERP systems.  EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: ~ High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or relative experience and/or training for job classification. LANGUAGE SKILLS:   Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
