founding fullstack engineer

📍new york (on-site 4x a week) OR san fran (remote) · $150k - $200k + 0.5–1.25% equity

a well-backed ai startup (a16z, repeat founders) just launched with a real product and early traction — 6k+ waitlist from one announcement, with 15–25k expected by general access .

the roadmap to series A is clear (targeting early 2026), and this is the kind of role that sets you up for real ownership and growth from the ground floor.

they’re rebuilding how people manage email and workflows — not just layering ai on top of old ui, but rethinking the whole experience from scratch.

the team’s tight, top-tier, and now hiring a founding fullstack engineer — someone backend or frontend leaning, who’s ready to help build fast and shape the future of the product.

what you’ll do:

• build across the stack (node / react / aws / postgres) — frontend or backend leaning is fine
• architect backend systems for parsing and summarizing high-volume email
• integrate llms into meaningful, user-facing flows
• define early eng standards, work directly with founders, ship fast

what they’re looking for:

• 5–10 yrs in top-tier teams (stripe, vercel, faang, etc)
• real ai/llm experience — either working with large datasets or building high-perf consumer apps
• green squares on github or too busy building something great to bother
• someone who thrives in early-stage chaos and wants real skin in the game

bonus points:

• 0→1 product experience or viral consumer tools
• frontend perf chops (react, swift)
• past eng leadership or founder experience
