Food Scientist - Research & Development
Position Summary
We are seeking a creative and driven Food Scientist to join our Research & Development team. In this role, you will be a key player in the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept to successful commercialization. You will leverage your technical expertise in food science to develop new products, improve existing ones, and collaborate with a dynamic, cross-functional team to bring our vision to life. Key Responsibilities
Product Innovation & Development: Lead and support product development projects from concept through to commercial launch. Provide critical technical input throughout all phases of the New Product Development process.
Commercialization & Scale-Up: Lead and support the planning, execution, and reporting of plant trials and product validations for new products and formula adjustments. Partner closely with Marketing and Operations to ensure seamless commercial execution.
Technical Problem-Solving: Seek, evaluate, and utilize technical information and data analysis to achieve project objectives and drive continuous improvement.
Quality & Cost Management: Recommend and implement product quality enhancements based on quantitative insights. Investigate, identify, and implement cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work effectively with internal partners in Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations to align on project goals and timelines.
Lab Management: Maintain laboratory ingredient inventories and ensure a clean, safe, and well-maintained workspace. Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) in the handling and preparation of food products.
Documentation: Keep meticulous records of all laboratory work, experiments, and data analysis.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
