We are seeking a flooring consultant who excels and prospers in a fast-paced retail environment. The flooring consultant is a self-motivated individual who enjoys flooring and design and can build client relationships to keep our clients coming back. As our customers are our neighbors, customer satisfaction is paramount. The flooring consultant will provide the very best personal service from the minute the customer walks in the door until the job is completed in addition to maintaining the relationship beyond installation. Duties Please note that the following is the minimum required; all experience levels above the responsibilities and qualifications listed below are welcomed. Responsibilities of the flooring consultant - Meet and greet customers
- Consult with the customer with their needs
- Walk the customer through our products and services
- Design the project and drawings needed
- Job-site visit with the customer for measurements
- Manage the project from start to finish
Expectations of the flooring consultant - Complete product knowledge training
- Stay up-to-date on products and services
- Attain personal sales goals
- Ensure customer satisfaction in difficult situations
- Follow-up on orders
- Set-up installation process
- Follow up on customer satisfaction and collect the balance
- Prospecting and networking
Requirements Qualifications of the flooring consultant - Retail/Sales experience a plus
- Flooring/Construction experience a plus
- Design experience a plus
- Ability to understand and effectively communicate numerical/spacial data
- Computer skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Background check a must
- Be able to lift 30 lbs. from time to time
