Job Description

A top global financial institution headquartered in New York City is seeking a Model Risk Analyst to support its Recovery & Resolution Planning (RRP) and Model Transformation initiatives. This is a hybrid contract role (3 days onsite per week) within the Capital Markets division, leveraging Python, SQL, and financial risk expertise to support complex regulatory requirements.

Contract Duration: 12+ Months

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years as a Model Risk Analyst in a global bank
• Hands-on experience with Model Risk, Validation, and Recovery & Resolution Planning (RRP)
• Strong Python programming and SQL for data/model analysis altering
• Knowledge of Liquidity, Capital Management, Stress Testing, CCAR
• Familiarity with broker-dealer operations and front-office products
• Advanced Excel for data analysis; PowerPoint for executive reporting
• Strong verbal and written communication

Desired Skills & Experience

• Prior experience with EUC (End-User Computing) model execution
• Regulatory experience related to 165D, Dodd-Frank, or RRP frameworks
• Understanding of model risk governance and internal audit controls

• 30% Stakeholder Reporting and Regulatory Support

Daily Responsibilities

• 25% Analyze and interpret model outputs to support RRP and regulatory submissions
• 25% Execute and maintain EUC-based models using Python and SQL
• 20% Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency across RRP deliverables
• 15% Review and synthesize input from various business units for 165D planning
• 15% Identify trends in data and support strategic model transformation initiatives
