A Direct Support Professional works closely with individuals who have developmental and/or intellectual disabilities to help them lead independent and fulfilling lives. They provide assistance with activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and transportation. DSPs also help their clients develop life skills such as communication, problem-solving, and decision making.
