We’re looking for someone who can lead strategy around maximizing our successful partnerships with HFGM and OBM, while building on the strong brand awareness we already have among cruisers. The ideal candidate will develop fresh, engaging onboard offerings that tap into both the captive audience and the unique product availability on cruise ships. We need an innovative thinker who can unlock new sales opportunities and drive growth in this channel.
Responsibilities:
· Maximize sales onboard for both Del Sol and Cariloha on multiple cruise lines with multiple merchandise offerings.
· Track daily, weekly and monthly sales
- Understand the trends of what is selling and work with product development to procure the best merchandising plans
· Provide merchandising solutions, including placement, signage and product mix
- Coordinate with our design team, respective buyers and shop managers
· Create promotional strategies
- Price points, cross promotion opportunities with promotional companies and with onboard revenue departments, special events
· Sales training with the sales teams onboard
- Coordinate travel to be on ships, train the teams, and provide training content remotely
· Structure development
- Develop strategies for quickly addressing struggling ships, making improvements, and increase sales and maximize gross profit.
Requirements:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree
· Experience:
- Looking for an individual with experience with cruise retail, whether that be on the front lines or on the back-end (buyers or onboard sales associates).
· Suggested skills:
- This position will require superior organizational skills to manage multiple cruise lines, multiple ships, multiple promotional strategies, points of contact internally and externally. Also, looking for somebody with excellent communication skills, exceptional sales background, passion for merchandising and for retail, an ability and desire to travel,.
· Travel 50% - two weeks of the month on the road, onboard ships at sea or in port
- Travel is paid for but must comply with existing budgets or be approved by supervisor.
Compensation and Perks:
· $55,000+ base salary + commission (total compensation will depend on experience)
