Job Description

Banking and Trust Manager Location Orlando, FL (Central Business District area) : Akerman LLP, a top 100 U.S. law firm serving clients across the Americas, is seeking an experienced Banking and Trust Manager for its Financial Services Department. The position is responsible for administering all aspects of the law firm's banking relationships, including operational and trust banking. The manager produces timely and accurate trust accounting, including proper controls, detailed records, and monitoring of client funds. The position requires a high level of customer service, accuracy, and attention to detail while working under time-sensitive deadlines with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will maintain strong internal controls, review and report on bank agreements, open and close law firm operating and trust bank accounts, set up and modify authorized users, communicate with bank officers, manage the corporate credit card program and oversee credit card merchant processing. The Banking and Trust Manager will supervise, mentor, and develop the trust team to effectively accomplish daily processes, such as, printing checks, initiating/approving wire transfers and recording transactions in a timely and accurate manner. The Banking and Trust Manager is responsible for maintaining compliance with all bank agreements and state bar regulations. Qualified candidates have excellent verbal and written communication skills, willingness to provide a high level of service, and strong computer skills including MS Excel. The candidate must possess a willingness to partner across the firm, seek efficiencies, embrace change and lead change management. We require a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a minimum of five (5) years of related work experience with at least three (3) years in a supervisory role, preferably in a law firm setting.
