As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government setting, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout the location, staying visible, and responding to any issues as they arise. What You'll Do - Provide excellent customer service by following Allied Universal procedures and location-specific policies, including responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and judgment to address situations as they arise.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for security-related concerns.
- Monitor for potential threats or unusual activity, taking appropriate steps to address or report security-related incidents.
- Complete detailed and accurate reports documenting incidents, patrols, and any observed security-related concerns.
- Maintain visibility throughout the location to help to deter potential security-related incidents and promote a secure environment.
- Remain alert and prepared to take immediate action as needed in response to emergencies or incidents, in accordance with Allied Universal and location-specific protocols.
Minimum Requirements - Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
- Must possess an armed guard card or license.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
