As a Armed Security Guard - Government Facility in Homestead, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government setting, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout the location, staying visible, and responding to any issues as they arise. Your professional presence will contribute to a secure environment for everyone at the site. You will interact with the public, provide exceptional customer service, and follow established protocols. What You'll Do

  • Provide excellent customer service by following Allied Universal procedures and location-specific policies, including responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and judgment to address situations as they arise.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for security-related concerns.
  • Monitor for potential threats or unusual activity, taking appropriate steps to address or report security-related incidents.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports documenting incidents, patrols, and any observed security-related concerns.
  • Maintain visibility throughout the location to help to deter potential security-related incidents and promote a secure environment.
  • Remain alert and prepared to take immediate action as needed in response to emergencies or incidents, in accordance with Allied Universal and location-specific protocols.

Minimum Requirements

  • Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Must possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
