Job Description

Description We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant. This is a long-term contract opportunity where you will play a vital role in supporting our accounting and administrative operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with QuickBooks Desktop and a strong ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Responsibilities: - Enter accounts payable data accurately into QuickBooks Desktop to ensure timely processing. - Maintain and organize both physical and electronic financial records for easy access and compliance. - Provide general administrative support, including document management and office-related tasks. - Verify the accuracy of invoices and related documentation to uphold financial integrity. - Collaborate with colleagues to streamline workflows and adhere to company procedures. - Perform bank reconciliations and ensure proper coding of invoices. - Assist in accounts receivable tasks as needed to support overall accounting functions. - Ensure deadlines are met and prioritize tasks effectively to maintain smooth operations. - Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and inquiries. Requirements - Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop, particularly in accounts payable data entry. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to handle financial records. - Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines consistently. - Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. - Prior experience in accounts payable or administrative support is preferred. - Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and external contacts. - A proactive approach to problem-solving and workflow optimization.
