Aerospace and defense company looking for an Accounting Clerk to support their team! Great opportunity for individuals who are looking to gain professional experience in accounting! Qualifications: Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, economics, or any other related field of study Basic understanding of Excel functions Strong understanding of debits and credits Strong knowledge of GAAP Job Description This role involves assisting the accounting department directly by helping them complete daily tasks or indirectly by compiling information. The position requires a combination of administrative skills and accounting knowledge, including an understanding of financial concepts and accounting terminology. As an Accounting Assistant, you will drive collection efforts to resolve past-due accounts, support SOX controls, and improve operations processes that generate cash and working capital. Responsibilities include: + Enter and code financial transactions appropriately. + Reconcile invoices received with departmental billings. + Issue invoices to customers based on services rendered and/or goods sold. + Make and track payments. + Track expenses as they relate to specific projects and jobs. + Validate invoices against items or services received. + Check all financial transactions for accuracy. + Key data into the company accounting system. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Corona, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
